We built CareMatch to fix a broken industry
Home care in America is expensive for families and underpaying for caregivers — at the same time. We set out to change that.
The problem with home care agencies
If you’ve tried to find in-home care for a parent or loved one, you know the frustration. You call an agency, you’re quoted $35–$45 per hour, and a stranger shows up at your door — chosen by the agency, not by you.
What most families don’t realize is that the caregiver doing all the work is typically earning only $15–$17 per hour. The agency keeps the rest — often 50–60% of what you pay — for overhead, profit, and administrative layers you never see.
The caregiver is underpaid. The family is overcharged. And neither side gets to choose who they work with. We thought there had to be a better way.

The CareMatch way
*First match free. Fee waived when rebooking same caregiver.
Our approach
CareMatch is a direct-connection marketplace. We built the technology platform, the vetting process, and the payment infrastructure — then we got out of the way and let families and caregivers find each other.
Families browse verified caregiver profiles, read real reviews from other families, message caregivers directly, and book care on their own terms. Caregivers set their own rates, manage their own schedules, and build their own client relationships.
Families pay a one-time $49 booking fee per new caregiver match — their first match is always free, and there’s no fee to rebook the same caregiver. Caregivers keep 90% of every dollar they earn; a 10% platform fee is deducted per payout to cover background checks, credential verification, secure payments, customer support, and platform operations.
Even with a small platform fee, caregivers earn 50%+ more than agency work — while families pay far less than agency rates. That’s the power of cutting out the middleman.
Where we are today — and where we’re going
CareMatch is an early-stage marketplace. We’re building this community from the ground up — connecting families who need great care with caregivers who deserve to be paid fairly.
Being early means you’ll get real attention if you reach out, real responsiveness if something goes wrong, and a team that genuinely cares about getting this right.
If you’re a caregiver or a family who wants to be part of what we’re building, we’d love to hear from you.
Our commitments
Transparency
No hidden fees. No confusing pricing. What you see is what you pay.
Fairness
Caregivers set their own rates and keep 90% of what they earn. A small platform fee covers the infrastructure — not a middleman's profit.
Safety
Every caregiver is background-checked and verified before they can accept a booking.
